Location Map of the Club
The Club meets at Platt Bridge Community Centre, Walthew Lane, Platt Bridge Wigan, WN2 5AH
on alternate
Mondays 7.15 pm prompt.
Directions to the Club from M6 junction 23 Northbound: Leave the motorway at J23 (on the slip road
keep to the right hand lane). At the bottom turn right signposted Manchester A580. Continue
along the A580 for 1.5 miles to a roundabout, turn left for Wigan (A573) Golborne and Abram. After about
a mile bear left at a small roundabout towards Abram. After 2.5 miles you will come to a couple of sets of
lights at a staggered junction, keep straight on through these lights (about 100 yards further on you will
pass Millercare and Warrington Jag Centre on your left - you’re nearly there). Go across the mini roundabout
and you will see Platt Bridge Community Centre on the left, go past and immediately turn sharp left where
you can park round the back. Important: Please ignore any signs for Platt Bridge Community First.
Directions to the Club from M61: Exit at Junction 6, from the South go up the slip road keeping to
the left hand lane, continue left for 200 yards to a roundabout. From the North go right and over
the motorway to the same roundabout. Move into left hand lane after crossing over motorway.
At the
roundabout turn left signposted Westhoughton and Wigan B5239 (B5238). Approximately 100 yards on turn right
at the lights into Dicconson Lane (B5238). Continue for 1.5 miles to a mini roundabout and turn left into
Hall Lane. Carry on for 2 miles and then turn right at the small roundabout towards Ashton and Wigan.
Carry on for 300 yards to a set of lights at a crossroads and go straight through signposted Ashton A58
and Platt Bridge. Keep on for about a mile, bear left at a mini roundabout and carry on past a McDonalds.
You will go through a series of small roundabouts, when you reach the last one and can’t go any further,
turn right ( nearly there now). Platt Bridge Community Centre is immediately on your left, drive past and
turn sharp left to access the car park which is round the back. Important: Please ignore any signs for Platt Bridge Community First.
